crops

poligrow aims at setting up castor bean, African palm and jatropha plantations in areas suitable for the development of these oil crop types. Its selection favours lands that are currently neglected and possibly unsuitable for food crops cultivation. Land plots are also assessed based on their potential for bringing benefits to the local communities.

Agricultural activities under the projects are carried out by local farmers who receive all the economic and technical support they need. poligrow’s projects contribute to creating employment in poverty-stricken areas, where locals are offered an opportunity to work and grow socially in full respect of their culture.

A full range of infrastructures are put in place on the sites where plantations are set up,
in order to guarantee an adequate degree of social sustainability to farmers and their families. poligrow develops its projects in cooperation with local authorities, in order to contribute as much as possible to stability and socio-economic development in the area.
