mission

poligrow’s mission encompasses the development of:

• innovative research programs in the fields of biotechnology and vegetable oil production.
• oil crop plantations and advanced technological solutions to process oil producing fruits or seeds.
• production systems based on the principles of sustainability and respect for people, local communities and the environment.
• a higher socio-economic status for local communities, in line with the principles of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

The project we develop are sustainable, meaning they are economically profitable, environmentally compatible, socially responsible.

We adopt sustainable product pricing policies, to ensure a stable source of income
for farmers. poligrow’s plantations are set up in marginal or unused land, thus contributing to revitalize the economy of local communities. poligrow employs growing, harvesting and processing techniques that have a low environmental impact

Through strategic alliance agreement entered into between us and our stakeholders we are able to create new jobs while building entrepreneurial skills in indigenous communities thus fostering their development. By providing “technical accompaniment” in the form of ongoing technical advice we disseminate agricultural knowledge and know-how and we promote best practices.

Our agricultural projects are aimed at raising living standards and education levels among farmers and their families. poligrow‘s initiatives strictly adhere to widely recognized environmental and social sustainability standards.

Our development strategy is consistent with the needs that have emerged from three big ongoing trends:

• the oil crisis
• climate change
• the social/food crises
