project location :
the crushing plant is based in Pindamonhangaba (SP) a strategically based industrial hub on the San Paolo – Rio de Janeiro road axis, 240 km away from Santos, the major Latin American port.

production :
the plant will process castor beans to produce castor oil classified as type 1 In addition to oil, the plant will produce a fertilizer made with the so called “cake”, a mixture of dry seed residuals and ground seed coats. In its current configuration, the plant will be able to process 120 tons of castor beans and other oil seeds per day, thus reaching a yearly oil production of approximately 10.000 tons . Plant enhancement is planned in order to raise pressing capacity up to 240 tons per day and add a further processing stage for the production of hydrogenated castor oil, a solid by-product which is easier to transport and suitable for automotive applications.
