technical support:
poligrow provides farmers (its strategic allies) with all materials
and services needed to start cultivation, in addition to the technical-agronomic
advice by poligrows specialized staff, so as to guarantee
that production meets the legal and environmental standards and regulations
set by the company and by the local government.
support to agricultural enhancement and innovation:
poligrow is assessing several techniques that may enhance agricultural
activities, including tests carried out on oil crops varietals that may
provide an alternative to palms, and lead to technological innovation
in oil production to be applied to energy generation which would benefit
local communities by enabling them to gain self-sufficiency.
cooperation with institutions:
poligrow colombia was able to organize the whole project thanks
to the local municipal management and some regional policies offering
governmental support. poligrow intends to cooperate with non-governmental
organizations committed to safeguarding human rights and the environment
and set up training meetings with SENA (the national apprenticeship service)
and various public bodies.
